[Dr. Pipim's Thanksgiving Devotional, November 2015]
“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend” (Melody Beattie). The key to gratitude is contentment. For, a contented heart is a grateful heart. And a heart full of gratitude is a fountain from which life’s richest blessings flow.
“Oh, what a happy soul I am,
Although I cannot see,
I am resolved that in this world
Contented I will be.
How many blessings I enjoy
That other people don't
To weep and sigh because I'm blind

ETHIOPIA IS STRETCHING HER HANDS
Part 1 of a Report on Dr. Pipim's Prayer Breakfast For Diplomatic Community in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, September 23, 2015.

Ethiopia is mentioned some 38 times in the Bible. Significantly, the first Gentile convert to Christianity was an Ethiopian (Acts 8:26-40). Is it any wonder that today, “Ethiopia is stretching her hands” (Psalm 68:30)? Here’s a brief report of my mission assignment there.
The Lord GREATLY answered our prayers this past Sunday, September 13, 2015, in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia. I was invited to be the speaker for a special Prayer Breakfast organized for the diplomatic community in Addis. The event was timed to coincide with the weekend celebrations of the Ethiopian New Year (“Enkutatash”) which fell on September 11.
A PRIVILEGE & RESPONSIBILITY. As you may know, Addis Ababa is the headquarters of the African Union (AU). There are 48 African embassies and 52 non-African embassies in...
[Dr. Pipim attended the 2015 General Conference Session in San Antonio, Texas. While there, he shared with his global circle of friends (on Facebook and on mailing list) his observations and analyses of significant theological actions taken at the Session. After sharing Part 4 of his report (which dealt with the No vote against women's ordination and its implications), some of his well-known adversaries renewed their campaign of slander. Below is Dr. Pipim's Facebook response which he posted on July 15, 2015. http://tinyurl.com/nmsg35x].
I WILL NOT BE SILENT
We live in a culture of cowardly silence—a controversy-avoiding society where “getting along by going along” is the way of life. In this culture of silence, we tend to be mute on critical issues or conditions, until our personal self-interests are threatened, or until it is too late.
But I refuse to be silent.
As some of you may know, not everyone is happy with my latest book COURAGE and my report and analysis of the recent 2015 GC...

"Truth enlightens those who are willing to receive it and brings out the true nature of those opposed to it!"
--Samuel Koranteng-Pipim
The question of women’s ordination is a defining issue for the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The issue is more than merely whether or not women can legitimately serve as elders or pastors. More importantly it concerns the basis upon which that decision is to be made and how the outcome of that decision is likely to affect the identity, message, mission, and unity of the worldwide Seventh-day Adventist Church.
This is why the decision of the Church, based on the following questions, is of such great significance:
• Why should the Church ordain or not ordain women as elders or pastors?
• What are the key issues in the debate?
• How did the Church’s pioneers address the matter—and why that way?
• How did recent General Conference sessions decide the issue—and...
Dr. Pipim's New Book Release, March 12, 2015
"Africans are like the elephant in the zoo," so argues Dr. Pipim in his latest book release titled THE AFRICAN GIANT. He maintains that Africa is a giant, in more ways than one. But despite its huge resources and human potential, the African continent (led by its most populous nation) poses a threat to the world at large. Thus, he argues:
“The African giant is at risk, and therefore risky. The time to mitigate or remove that risk is now. Those to mitigate that risk include you. And how to do so begins by reading this book—THE AFRICAN GIANT—and making a decision to be the change that you want to see, beginning in your own sphere of influence.”
Part I of THE AFRICAN GIANT book is based on Dr. Pipim’s keynote address at an Independence Day event at the Chamber of Commerce and Industries in Lagos, Nigeria, October 1, 2014. The speech was delivered on the occasion of the inauguration of the Circle of Hands Foundation—a new...
Dr. Samuel Koranteng-Pipim's Keynote Address at the Inauguration of the "Circle of Hands" Foundation, Lagos State Chamber of Commerce & Industries, Alausa, Lagos, Nigeria, October 1, 2014.
[NOTE: Although speaking to the Nigerian context, the keynote address speaks to the larger issues of Pan Africanism and the African Renaissance, and the role of youth and young professionals. Nigeria was the pulpit, but Africa is the audience.]

Why We’re Here
On this Independence Day, many Nigerians and those connected with this great country have gathered in different parts of the world to celebrate the ritual of anniversaries and important dates. Others are gathered today to calibrate Nigeria’s performance on a wide range of preferred gauges.
But we are gathered here on this special day for a very different reason: We’ve been summoned here for action. To be part of a cause bigger than ourselves. To be the change Nigeria has waited for, believing...
